All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl. Sports is an essential part of extra curricular activity in Loreto Convent. The students are trained in Mass Drill, March-past, games and display items for the different classes from V to X Std. Every year different athletic events  are held for different age groups.  Every alternate year a grand Sports Meet is organized and parents are invited to watch their wards performs on RCF sports ground. Yoga, Pyramids, Lezim, Aerobics are the most enjoyed items by the students.


Introducing new Sports & Games

In order to encourage the students to take part in sports and games and also to keep them active and fit, the school has introduced two new sports viz Badminton and Table Tennis. Hall is used as Badminton Court.  The girls are taught the rules of the game by Mrs. Sangeeta, our PT teacher.


Girls Hockey Team

Loreto Convent Hockey team was started in 2007 with 9 girls, with one of the students, Ms. Sneha Singh, taking the initiative.  An experienced player, Mr. Chandrashekhar Singh, is the coach of Loreto Convent girls hockey team. Under guidance of Mr. Pillay, Mr. Bagade, Mr. Solomon, Mr. Manual and Mr. Megharaj, the team has improved in techniques and has shown skillful performance.

Loreto Convent School has won number of prizes in hockey field which are mentioned below:

  • In 2008 MMA league, under 14 match, the team reached the finals for first time and were runners up.  The match was played in Bandra, Stanislaus ground.  The captain of the team was Nishi Makkar.
  • In April 2009, the girls played rink hockey at Mount Carmel Church, Bandra and took the 2nd place under captainship of Nishi Makkar.
  • In May 2009, at Orlem Church, Malad, they played rink hockey and were runners up under captainship of Karishma Bhandari.
  • In October 2009, they played DSSA Zonal match at Khalsa College  and participated in under-14, under-16 and under-17.  In all these three matches, they stood in 2nd place. The captain of under-14 was Shalvi Patil; for under-16 and under-17, the captain was Nishi Makkar.
  • In December 2008, MSSA Knock-out tournament at MHA Stadium, in under-16, they stood in 3rd place and Nishi Makkar was the captain.
  • In December 2009, MSSA league tournament, in under-16, they stood in 3rd place and captain was Nishi Makkar.
  • In January, 2010, MSSA league tournament at Stanislaus, Bandra, they stood in 3rd place in under-14, and captain was Shalvi Patil.
