International Yoga Day Celebration - Secondary Section

International yoga day was celebrated and began with a special prayer service. The students spoke about the need to imbibe the yogic way of life as a means to daily fitness and relaxation. Under the supervision and guidance of the P.E. teacher Mrs. Sangeeta Kothekar, students spoke and explained the importance of ashtanga yoga, various pranayam techniques like Anulom-Vilom, Brahmari, Omkar, Kapalbhati, Ujjayi, etc. Suryanamaskar and Chandranamaskar were shown to the pupils. The students participated and were actively involved in doing the asanas that were demonstrated like Halasan, Bhujangasan, Makrasan, Tadasan, Parvatasan, Chakrasan, Marjariasana, Sarvangasana, etc.

International Yoga Day  - Primary Section

The students of the primary section also celebrated the International Yoga Day on the 21st June 2016. They performed different aasanas like Padmasan, Vajrasan, Paschimothasan and basic standing aasans. The children were very happy to learn all the aasanas and realized the importance of each. The children enjoyed the day.
