Farewell to our P.T Master, Mr. D.B.Jagtap

"The more we are thankful the more we are rich"

The Management, Staff and students bid farewell to their P.T.Master, Mr. D.B. Jagtap on the 27th of June, 2012.  He had served the school for 29 years in the Secondary section.

Mr.Jagtap was welcomed by the school band and was escorted by the Manager, Sr. Geetha ,Head Mistress, Mrs.  Sulekha Unnikrishnan, some of the retired teachers and the staff of Loreto Convent School.  He was welcomed traditionally with the Maharashtrian Pheta.  The school captains conducted a very meaningful Prayer Service reciting Sanskrit Shlokas asking the Almighty to shower His blessings on him.

Sr. Geetha expressed appreciation and gratitude for his long dedicated service.  She focused on his qualities and how he has touched the lives of the students by training them for different sporting activities and motivated them to stay physically fit.  She wished him God’s blessing and courage to keep moving ahead to face the rest of his life.

On behalf of the Management, Sr. Geetha handed over a bouquet of flowers and a gift.

Mrs. Sulekha  in her speech expressed how Sir conducted himself in an exemplary and dignified manner guiding and training the students well in different sporting activities and wished him a relaxed, peaceful life ahead.

The girls very enthusiastically sang a Marathi powada, followed by a presentation on sports activities.

Mr. Jagtap in his vote of thanks said that he felt lucky to be a part of this esteemed institution .  Holding back tears was difficult as he spoke.

Later the staff gathered in "Mary Wards" Hall to show their love for Mr. Jagtap wherein some shared their old memories about him.  This was followed by a sumptuous meal.
