"Goals attained through effort determination and perseverance"


The Annual sports meet was held on the 19th of December, 2015. The chief guest was Mr.Amit Sharan, Senior Commandant CISF Unit (RCF).  The theme for the day was "Goals attained through effort determination and perseverance".  The chief guest was welcomed with the band which was followed by a prayer service invoking the blessings of the Almighty.

The Chief Guest lit the torch and declared the Sports meet open by releasing balloons and pigeons.  On behalf of all the students the oath was then taken by the Games Captain, Miss.Mihika Khandelwal.  This was followed by the March Past and the lovely display by our school Band.
The Primary section then kept the parents mesmerized with their drill display using various props.

A few secondary races were also held in between the drills.  Std I, with their pom poms promoted cheerleading and sportsmanship.  Std II displayed the seven colours of the rainbow using rings for the their drill.  Std III with their colourful umbrellas brought out the message of hardwork, determination and perseverance.  After the drill flat races of Std I and Std II began parents encouraged the participants by cheering for them .  The students of Std IV then presented the peacock drill.  The grand finale presented a glimpse of all the drills.  This was followed by the flat races of Std III and IV.  

The Primary Section also conducted novelty races which were humourous and funfilled and truly amused the audience followed by the Relay Race for the relay race for the Primary section.

The Secondary Section students then displayed drills with various formation.

Std IX girls swayed their way to fitness with Zumba.  Std VI girls kept the audience awestruck with their wonderful display using saree as their prop.  This was followed by the pretty fan and ribbon dance by students of Std VIII.  Std V displayed bamboo drill and Std VII  concluded with the lezim drill which was indeed filled with vigour, strength and co-ordination.

Winners of various events were then felicitated and prizes were distributed.  
The Champions for the day were as follows:

Sub Juniors        : Ms. Mahek Bhurke
Junior Champion  : Ms. Divya Rane
Senior Champion : Ms. Nupoor Patil


 

The Captain and Vice-Captain of the Yellow House were proud as they received the trophy for the Best House and for the March Past.



 

The Chief guest then addressed the audience.  The vote of Thanks was given by the Manager, Sr.Bernadette.

The event came to a close with the National Anthem.
